Vila Vino is conveniently located at the main juncture in the village of Sveta Nedjelja where the road curves down toward the sea side and where the long awaited , now a reality, "new road" to Hvar town begins. The "new road" winds along the lower edge of the "old" village and continues along the precarious cliffs of the Dineric mountain range which horizonitally bisects the narrow island. It joins the main island road on the far side of the tunnel from Stari Grad leaving only 7 km to Hvar town after navigating the 6.5 km of "new road". The redeeming feature of this on-road off-road adventure is some of the most picturesque views of vineyards, olive groves, mountain, sea, coves, cliffs and rocky coast that you will ever see.
It is a short 5 minute walk down to the sea and the beautiful Bila Idro marina and restaurant, owned by the Zlatlan Otok winery. There is also a small bakery and the Tamaris Restaurant which offers both casual patio pizza dining and a full seafood grill restaurant on the upper level, both with marvelous sea views. There is also a bocce ball court right out front.
Right above Vila Vino on the hillside is the award winning Zlatlan Otok winery. Next to the winery is St Spyridon's Catholic Church and the market, all within a 3-4 minute walk!
