Atlas Travel Excursions On and From Hvar

One of Croatia’s top travel and tour agencies, Atlas has an office next to the Adriana Hotel on the waterfront in Hvar town. On-island excursions are offered on a daily basis and there is a weekly schedule of off-island options. Some tours are only offered once per week so some planning is necessary. Prices range from about $45 to $150 pp for the tours that include your add-on charges, ie rafting. In peak season, Atlas runs off-island excursions twice a week, usually on Tuesday and Friday. Atlas’ own hydrofoil transports passengers from Stari Grad (with a bus from Hvar town for those passengers originating in Hvar town) to Makarska on the mainland (with an intermittent stop in Bol, on island Brac to pick up additional passengers) and in Makarska the passengers are then directed to th appropriate Atlas bus/group leaders for their destination—Medjogore, Dubrovnik, Mostar, Krka/Sibenik or white water rafting. Muti-lingual tour guides provide commentary along the way. At your destination, a local tour guide will take the group on a city walking tour and usually leaving some time for passengers to explore on their own. There is usually time to get dinner in Makarska before boarding hydrofoil for return trip and arriving back in Stari Grad around 9PM-a full day!
